in class wiles the maths group were asked to find a 3d shape that we want to learn about then teach our maths group how to calculate the volume of it.
to calculate the volume of a cylinder which is what sameer and i choose. You have to square the radius of the cylinder and multiple it by the length then multiply it by pi which is 3.14159 and you've got the volume.
You have done exceptionally well with your measurement learning and the challenge factor of finding a 3d shape other than a cube or cuboid to learn more about calculating the volume of. You executed your learn it, practice it and prove it concept really well. Be proud and think about the remainder of the year and other mathematical challenges you want to be involved with because you are more than capable! Miss O'B
